A 1"x1.75" area of the bottom corner is worn/water logged. I made a frame out of solid wood panels to the bottom. I also added a 2x4 across the back,under the shelf that the tank sits on. Place a sturdy piece of plywood or foam board on top of the stand to distribute the weight evenly. Position your fish tank on the plywood or foam board, making sure it sits securely. Check the levelness of the tank using a level tool and make any adjustments if necessary. Fill up your fish tank with water and add your fish and decorations. A 10 gal filled with water is roughly 100lbs, if you weigh more than that and a piece of furniture can take your full weight without any indication it's about to give, it will be able to hold the tank.
