Here is quite a bit of info on what you are asking about I think. We did taper grip for a couple months, including a hockey tape “hollow tape taper” that I found on Softballfans. We got away from it- I think dd’s hand just needed time with the taper to heal.I think there is value if she really wants to play college ball and isn't in a great geographic area or high profile team (CA, TX, FL).
